Is the science settled either way ? It appears that the majority of scientists believe that climate change caused by emissions is occurring .
More of a educated guess than anything else . I don't know who uses the term ' the science is settled ' and I don't even know what evidence you would need to have to be able to make that statement about anything ?
That said , if the vast majority believes it why would you go against that ?
