I was very disappointed with the apps performance and reliability for the first year or so
Lately I have been using it without dramas. The latency is as good or better than whatsapp I would say. Have had no difficulties calling New Zealand, Malaysia, Russia via zipt out. Havent been using it for zip-zip calls as I typically use whatsapp for this.
I have not tried the messaging interface for several months but last time I used it, it was buggy and unreliable.
