Agreed. Both major parties seem to be complacent and more interested in power than trying to better the country IMO. Instead of trying to build on the past governments good policies, each one tries to be the opposite for the sake of it. For example, Rudd softening border control when it wasn't necessary, and practically sent us back almost 10 years.
The public are to blame as well. When we start expecting more, the pollies might step up there game. As it is now, people are so gullible and easily fooled. If the current government was company, it would be bankrupt by now, and shareholders would be asking for blood. Yet in politics, incompetence will be rewarded and accepted, under the guise of giving them a fair go. Get your hand off it Australia!
