Thanks, you are quite correct, her name is Larissa Waters. Great to see you posting again.
I have been googling each of the players mentioned in my earlier post on this thread to see what of their statements/comments are on permanent and accessible record.
Some published comments I have found are breathtakingly inaccurate imo and, again imo, were damaging to Cougar and its shareholders. I won't post my findings here as they are so easily and more appropriately sourced by legal practitioners imo.
The following is simply of interest, or more correctly a conflict of interest it seems.
Independent Scientific Panel (as in who's findings justified to DERM Cougar's eventual permanent shutdown)
Professor C.J. Moran Director, Sustainable Minerals Institute, The University of Qld Emeritus Professor C. Cuff, Principal, C&R Consulting Professor J. da Costa, School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Qld
Liberty Resources Limited (ASX:LBY) is pleased to announce that it has tasked C&R Consulting (Geochemical and Hydrobiolgical Solutions) Pty. Ltd. of Townsville, Queensland, with the formation of an international expert advisory group to advise Liberty Resources on scientific, chemical, environmental and engineering aspects of its Urea Production Facility in Queensland.
Dr Chris Cuff and Dr Cecily Rasmussen both of C&R Consulting were appointed to the LBY advisory group.
Liberty Resources Limited wishes to advise that Dr Chris Cuff and Cecily Rasmussen of C&R Consulting will not serve on the Company’s Engineering and Scientific Advisory Panel ("Panel") until such time as Dr Cuff’s ongoing role advising the Queensland Government on Underground Coal Gasification ("UCG") is concluded.
Liberty Resources wishes to advise that further to its announcement made on 8 August 2011, neither Dr Chris Cuff, Dr Cecily Rasmussen nor their company, C & R Consulting, has any current contract or other engagement in place with the Company.
As I see it, Liberty Resources (a UCG hopeful) saw fit to establish an international expert advisory group about 3 weeks before the proverbial hit the fan with Cougar on July 15, 2010. Some months later, the QLd Govt saw fit to set up an Independent Scientifc Panel (ISP) to investigate Cougar.
Dr Chris Cuff was on both panels. His services at LBY were terminated indefinitely during August because of a conflict of interest it seems. Why didn't the Qld Govt do likewise when it must have been clear that Dr Cluff had connections to a Cougar competitor (of sorts imo)? After all, the "I" of ISP means independent.
Interesting but I am not sure of its significance.
