Semi-agree and see ppl's points, but moderators moderate according to set rules - some are more pedantic than others though!
As to MEO, you can see that possibly "sell the fact" has been in force since the JV announcement - up to then it was a little of the "buy on speculation". Of course, selling on fact only helps if you have been accumulating at much lower prices and now want to get out (at a profit of course). On the plus side, a low entry means a profitable exit and it may also allow another re-entry later, when ppl over-react - which, IMO, they often do and perhaps where we are now (if not there, getting there).
Also, those who got the "cheap" shares during a right issue or CR can also be dumping (for a quick profit). All of this adds up to a down trend.
Finally, not sure if MEO can be shorted, but if a sp is falling (for any reason above and more), it may also be possible to short the stock and make a profit that way. This is often done in the hope of triggering a "stop-loss", which then just escalates the sp fall and increases the corresponding "shorting" profit.
Or it could be none of the above and ppl are just bored! So a few "dump" and the sp is weak, etc...
Remember, none of this is advice or given as factual, so DYOR...
