So where are we at now with AFG. Is it a bargain or is it another highly leveraged company waiting for some lender to pull a small loan that it cannot readily refinance and boom there she goes like centro?

I Don't know. But if so many day traders decide to get in on a quick buck, I'll stay out of it for now since its just a bigger fool that is paying more. Just look at the price, can't believe so many bough in at $4. Now its 3.20.

on side note, I figured bob mansfield did a good enough job with optus, surely his director ship would pull this company through, but I have to agree with a poster here that his track record after optus stinks. Its easy to build market share even if you are making a loss if your an upstart like optus. What we investors fail to recognise is that optus wasn't profitable right from the word go, so his management record should not have held him in such high regard in AFG as people like me admittedly have held him prior.
