This isn't a comment on whether the product will eventually succeed or fail but to your point about "the solution to no one's problem". I don't believe that is true. Ohm was created as a direct result of a gap in the market, or perhaps a gap in their 'product' lineup. Go all the way back to their failed partnership with Noveda ... I believe this is where Ohm came from.Many startups at one stage or another do the big 'pivot'. Look at how the likes of YouTube (dating site) and Instagram (photo sharing) first started out, their stories were very different to what they are now. Instagram and Spotify really didn't blow up until the technology (mobile & bandwidth) and the market (with affordable plans) caught up to the product. Ohm/Buddy may well fall flat on its face and disappear but the market is definitely there and maybe it just needs a little more time for the rest of the market to catch on. I personally think its going in the right direction.
