Ultimately people change when their backs are against the wall, it's ok to hold out for a pipe dream when you're holding all the cards but they're not. The $1m salary which is taxed is peanuts compared to his potential gains if he can get a deal and increase the SP, if he get the options into the money that secures PAR a lot more cash and himself a big windfall.
I find it hard to believe he would destroy his own wealth in pursuit of a pie in the sky deal. There comes a time when you have to wake up and smell the coffee. Maybe I'm looking at it from what I'd do if I was in his shoes rather than past form but IMO it makes no sense to trash your own wealth.
I have no idea why everyone that is so negative continues to hold if you think the next step is a heavily discounted CR the logical choice is to sell everything.
Historically the SP should rise next week leading into the meeting whatever is going to happen even if it's the pump before the dump. It looked a bit manipulated to me on low volumes on Friday.
GLTAH I think next week will see a significant movement one way or the other.
