It is not about one day or 2 days delay. It does not matter if they dose first patient on 1 June and did not make it in May. 1 day makes absolutely no difference. But the point is that this is their own guidance, given just a few weeks ago, that they themselves cannot even keep to.
When a company gives guidance, the market expects that to be true. If they keep giving guidance and missing it, the credibility will be eroded over time. Not over this or that, but the confidence is lost. This is one amongst many promise made, promise broken over the years. I don't have to cite all of them, but funding, independent CEO, salary reduction, partnership.... These have been promised over many years and none were met.
Do I give value if they meet their May target? I personally do, because it shows that management is or isn't competent or if their other commitements can be taken on face value or can be binned.
I am not sure if this is correct or not, but I feel like you are great on the science front, but to me, it seems like PAR can do no wrong in your opinion. Nothing they say or do, no matter what happened, it is because it was someone or something else's fault. Shareholder can only vent via share price, and I think the share price shows what the market is currently thinking of PAR.
