I hear you, Weazel. My worry is that there are enduring delays towards getting anything concrete. Yes, the price would be decimated if they made an announcement as I have asked for. However, even without this announcement, the SP is not going anywhere. Instead, there's radio silence. The SHs, under such circumstances, neither win nor lose. There's simply a lot of second guessing!
Added to that, the probably dates for announcements seem to always contain undefined timeliness. You've mentioned "before July 1". Many mention "after June". Is it going to come on the second of July? Will it come in August or October? There are many dates after these "before/after X" characterisations.
As Larry David once put it when looking at the disadvantage associated with almond milk; "There's no winning". That's the challenge!
