dros its more rapid price swings both ways - day traders rule in this current market they move into a small cap stock with good news or momentum (not one specific sector though) spread across the entire small cap and mid cap spectrum. Although some concentration in resources due to the sheer weight of resource listings out of the 1700 ASX listed stocks. They spike up with massive volumes and amounts of traders - then wehn it gets exhausted the smart money moves out and it either falls back or it is a slow but persistant decline over say 1 month - while another one rises the next day 10 previous spikers are slowly falling back in a 3-5% fall each day.

The beatuy of HC is that some members actively follow the annoucements when companies commence drilling - they then provide say a 2 weeks heads up warning that resutls have been slated in or around a copule of day window for the specific stock - they then look at the technicals provided to date if it looks good they put money down and other HC members follow suit well the smart ones picking the trend early.

Then if good results come in it bolts - they take big profits (no inside information at work just a bit of awareness that the stock was due to report around a certain date - they then have stop losses in case it is bad news then automatically get out early) or they watch it rise and when the rally looks to be exhausting (usually over 1 and 1/2 days) they get out and move to the next one - they then consistantly beat the herd trhough

a) tight stops
b) looking ahead of expected drill results
c) sell into the rally

Its quite simple once you have the experience, do youre own research and ask plenty of questions to the smart forum members - avoid and learn how rampers work.
