That’s the point of Jung’s comment—we cannot be sure of anything

That is because we do not have a means of distinguishing whether we are being controlled by a higher power---- we call God--- or we are the result of random reactions and eventually became sentient without a higher power to guide our evolution--some atheist's explanations

IMO it is more likely we have been nudged towards what we are—sentient beings----by the higher potentiality or power (God) because that is the way that the unconscious God can begin to understand itself.

I think there is a great deal to do with the unconscious because the unconscious is the source of normal dreams as well as big dreams.. Big dreams give us advice and can also predict future events

Where did this knowledge come from?

Jung said it came from the collective unconscious

Every individual has access to the collective unconscious because our individual unconscious merges with the sea of unconsciousness –the collective unconscious

In that way we are merged with the collective unconscious that Jung also called God

Conclusion: We are at one with God at all times whether we know it or not --going by Jung
