The AMWU are responsible for representing the workers employed by the industries that rely on gas as a feedstock.
Does anybody know where they sit on PEP11?
It is my view that workers WILL lose their jobs when plants such as Orica Kooragang close due to the high cost of gas. Qenos has already closed, Incitec Gibson Island has already closed, the writing is on the wall.
What is the AMWU doing about it?
The Federal MPs aligned with the AMWU include Albanese, Pat Conroy, Sharon Claydon, and Tim Ayres. All are clearly against PEP11, how are these MPs dealing with this conflict of interest?
If anyone on here is an AMWU member, please ask your AMWU rep what they are doing to save your job. If the answer is PKIT, update your resume asap.
