The top 10% of income earners in this country bear no resemblance to the top 10% of taxpayers.
Many of the top 10% of income earners would be paying little or no income tax as they would be taking advantage of all the avoidance measures available to the wealthy.
You are confusing these people with the top 10% of taxable income earners who are probably upper middle income earners on PAYG wages who actually do pay a lot of tax.
