    The point I was wanting to make is that middle Australia has much to be thankful for and that imo we take for granted ... middle Australia could and should aspire to pay more tax, not avoid it in appreciation of past generations and governments and future generations and government ... middle Australia would not be where it is comfortably sitting today if not for the efforts of past generations and governments.

    I glaze right over when I read and hear wealthy middle Australia wanting to put that responsibility on a small demographic of wealthy Australians and at the same time seek to deny some basic care and responsibility for say disadvantaged and elderly.

    Australians are better than that.
