I am very sceptical of charities, particularly those that pay telemarketers. Once commissions are paid and other expenses only a few cents in the dollar actually goes to the cause.
Not so long ago my son came across some one collecting for doctors without boarders, he offered a donation but was harassed to sign up for ongoing donation and was suggested that he could sacrifice his beer money to do so.
