Can someone explain what happened in the ten mins just a now?
My take on it is this. We are now officially in the ASX300. Welcome to all new holders, btw.
As a number of index funds will buy in the final auction of the effective date, there will be a large number of 'buy' orders at a higher than market price to make sure they do actually buy them. Savvy sellers will try to take advantage of that fact, and will place low sell orders to get in front of the queue. So you can see the whole top 10 fully overlapped in these circumstances.
