Hi.. I grew up in Uralla and at school we learnt about the Gold Rush and how much money was made in the area. Me and my family used to go down to a gully just outside Uralla (ROCKY RIVER) and pan gold all weekend. We found plenty of gold and that was just on the surface. Im sure there is plenty of the stuff around the place and hope they hit pay dirt!!!!!! Looks good so far..
Another mine in Armidale I think has shut down and had a lot of problems. This mine was run by Straits Gold.
