From April to July the Geological Survey Qld are conducting an airborne magnetic survey in the Georgetown region Nth Qld. That's an area of massive proterozoic and paleozoic batholithic granites with well developed, weathered saprolitic profiles. Pegmatite is common to these geological settings. Will be interesting to see the results that may lead to lithium type mineralisation, right here in AUSTRALIA.
