If you want to know which side of the fence someone is standing on, just listen to when they are cheering, and what they are saying.

For those ESG believers who were online today, they were vocal, excited, contributing - as you would expect. Happy to see their share go up. And happy to see the shorters on the losing side.

And why wouldn't they?

Those who jump on HC on down days, to cheer the share downwards, to reinforce people's fears, impatience, doubts and frsutrations; to beat down people's expectations - well, they are not hoping for ESG to rise. They are on HC to stick in the boot, despite what they may claim.

We may never know whose interests these people are promoting. Are they associated with the shorting, are they associated with a to-be suitor, or do they represent businesses or industries that are threatened by the success of ESG and CSG in general? We may never know.

People's actions speak louder than words.
