i dont know why - my concerns i raised on 22 jul have been taken care of by some extent by writedowns/and or sale. I anticipated they needed to take a hit on the book they bought from rabo, and of course landmark which they paid over the odds for.

you would think the bad news is out - unless there is potential for more rightdowns with the sale to anz (if there was some sort of clause for anz to write off some more - somehow i doubt it)

i still think davis has a question mark on him, though many decisions that have been proved to be disastrous were down to lindberg and stewart.
