The short answer is talk to a financial adviser but as far as I am aware being over 65yo does not change the rules that much for contributing to a SMSF which basically is tax free amount is $35,000 and tax paid amount is $350,000 (that not could be incorrect so you need to check) the problem you will have is any profit you have made at the date of the transfer will possibly incurr CGT but as I stated you really need to go to an advisor
