Understand and agree completely mighty, it's a good ethos (and mine also) , but where it can hurt is if a SH hasn't got the cash in hand to buy the dip and average down. That's s pretty sad situation as they have to sit back and watch the crash, or as most will do; panic and sell . There's a lot to be said for holding a cash reserve for such moments , but it's quite hard to be disciplined and restrained ( I haven't mastered the cash holding yet)
