You know what's funny? You responded to a post with a clearly calm tone which was well-reasoned and explained, you responded with this (take a breath and look at it again), and accused me of being emotional.
Yes, they blatantly lied. I was talking about the pilot plant, which we now can clearly see did not get taken to the point where it had things sorted out, because all these years later we still don't have a filter which can handle more than a small percentage of the throughput of what the pilot plant was supposed to be capable of.
And if you want to say they never lied, just think about the offtake partner stories they told us, which we later saw were not true.
What's wrong with saying we don't know if they're worth anything? At this point we know they are happy to mislead the market, they've mislead the market into thinking things were almost done when we later discovered this was absolutely not true (and before you throw another unhinged tantrum, I'll remind you that over the years you have ridiculed and abused me for doubting company guidance, stating I was stupid not to believe it, then later when they failed to deliver you had the gall to say anyone who had taken guidance too seriously was stupid!). The reality is, we don't actually know if we're going to get the expansion permit (you're kidding yourself if you say you know something is definitely going to happen if it has been promised by the end of the quarter for years on end without it happening in any of those quarters) and we don't know if they're actually going to ever get a plant working - they literally never even got the pilot plant working and there are no signs of progress in the 2,000TPA plant. I'm not saying it won't happen, but we don't know. There is obviously an amount of risk, and that risk is clearly increasing in terms of how much risk we can attribute according to what we know (assuming we previously had more reason to take them at face value because we hadn't yet seen clear demonstration that they had lied to us).
Yes, I still hold. Not as much as I did a year ago, and what I'm holding is obviously down since then. Why is that something which needs such a dramatic, emotional response from you?
Of course I will read the announcements as they come, and of course as things develop we will have a greater ability to estimate/predict the value of the company. Currently, we have multiple unknowns, meaning that coming up with a valuation of the company requires an estimate of the likelihood of success of production ever being achieved, an estimate of the likelihood of the permit being given, and if these things do eventuate, an estimate of the future share price also requires estimates of the timeframes on them happening, because this is likely to impact dilution. And of course we still need to make estimates of future lithium prices.
Of course, we can still come up with estimates of all these things, but given the obviously increased risk especially in terms of AGY's ability to commercially produce anything, it is more difficult than before (although with the benefit of hindsight we simply now know we were overestimating the chances of permits, production and offtake etc proceeding according to what the company lead you to believe (noting that you have clearly demonstrated over the years that you took guidance far more seriously than I did and ridiculed me back then for saying it wasn't a guarantee, and as we now see, it has turned out far far worse than I was expecting back then).
You're the only one throwing a tantrum involving terms like 'blind hope' around (ironic since you've been the one demonstrating blind hope over the years - go back and read your posts over the lasts several years, they're littered with hopes and predictions of things going far better than they did, so who is the blind one?). Yes, I estimated how well I expected AGY to go, I was wrong, I lost money. I'm not too proud to admit it, I don't have to throw a tantrum about it like you do. I find it more difficult to estimate future valuation of the company now than a year ago, but the price is a fraction of what it was so while I've reduced my holding along the way, I still hold.
