It's called deflection - as much as I don't support DV in any way, shape or form, it is not the most important issue we are facing as a community at the moment. if the numbnuts in government dedicated as much energy, money and publicity to addressing issues such as homelessness, cost of living and crime we would be in a far better place.
Mind you, if they addressed, homelessness, cost of living and crime we would not have as much DV to start with.
