Remember the old ambit claims, Unions hitting up the companies for huge and ridiculous demands? Well that was simply a starting point for negotiations.
I have no doubt unions do deals with companies, not hard to do and hide. It's simply done behind closed doors and the union bosses come out to face the workers at tell them the have done their best and recommend members accept the offer on the table. But you have to ask, who is acting unethical the bosses or the Union? Well IMO they both are.
I recall how the leader of the meat workers union ended up being the industrial relations officer for the meat company, very convenient.
I point that is missing here is the donations paid by business to political parties, you can't tell me they do it out of the goodness of their hearts and expect nothing in return. Of course they have some sort of vested interest, well IMO anyway
