The Federal Reserve like most Reserve Banks are owned by the BIS (Bank Of International Settlements) out of Basel, Switzerland.
The Rockerfeller Family founded the BIS and continue to be very prominent behind it.
The BIS makes for a fascinating read. Its group of directors (of such) behind it is a who's who of global finance, politicals and trade.
