    AWE has entered into long-term take-or-pay contracts for its share of production from the BassGas project with gas sold to Origin Energy, LPG to Elgas and condensate to Shell. TXU has agreed to buy the Casino field's gas output, with an attractive option to extend. Competitors include similar medium-sized oil/gas companies such as ROC and TAP, while gas producers such as ORG, STO and Mitsui are both partners and competitors.
