There is no causal link between the historical price of lead and lithium that I can see from what you have presented here pallister.
Selectively posting a historical price chart for a commodity that suits a particular argument is not good analysis. In fact, I think it is misleading.
When I read your post I thought - hmm I wonder how many other metals fell sharply in 2009 ish (GFC).
So I went to the same site as you did and had a bit of a look around.
I thought "hmm what about the price of cobalt." Chart below.
And then I thought - "... hmm I might just find another example just to ensure that my supposition is sustainable." I then had a look at nickel.
Both are very similar to the lead chart. I suspect there's more examples.
And here's nickel.
Just be careful what you read folks - particularly if you're new to this game.
