Just wondering why you are calculating the last 6 months production with an average price of $4.40 when the actual nickel price they got is in the quarterlies and is more that that.
Also for my benefit (and this might be a dumb question) but the figures used in the quarterlies refer to the amount of nickel contained in concentrate, so I'd thought that was the number to multiply by the nickel price, not to reduce to 13% of.
In any case, I made a quick spreadsheet with the 13% of concentrate (as per your calc) but used the actual numbers for COP and nickel price from the quarterlies and came up with this...
Q3 is me having a guess at current Nickel price effect. If COP had remained the same, then yes, they'd make a loss of 300K for the quarter in that example.
I'm no accountant and I know there are others on here who are great at this stuff. Can anyone clear up my confusion re the terminology 'contained Nickel in concentrate' as described in the quarterlies.
