The article emphatically explains what has been happening here with Range Resources. And it is not just a recent event; it has been entrenched over the last couple of years. As posters here are still getting caught up with the continued down ramping in recent days, I though it timely to bring this matter to everyones attention once again.
According to the research, what we have amongst us right here on the forum is a classic example of what is referred to as a Grade A Stock Basher.
”Grade A Bashers are down rampers who post lots of old news or never have anything of substance to contribute. Their commentary is like a broken record. They respond to all positive posts with a negative comment. They never respond to being called a basher and never post on another board with the same alias. They can spend up to 80 hours a week bashing a stock, and are usually paid for their efforts”
WHAT WE ALL NEED TO UNDERSTAND:
a) BASHERS NEVER Bash A BAD STOCK They usually go after stocks that are moving up or have excellent potential to do so. Bashers work to bring the price down to allow accumulation at your expense. After a strong rise they may go into action to ensure the profitably of shorts that have been put in place after the strong rise…….Hmmm, now doesn't that sound kind of familiar?
How many surges in price have we seen in Range over the last two years, only for the price to be continually deflated through the divisive activity promoted by a particular basher with initials PS……..He/she/it has allowed certain entities to clean up BIG TIME at the expense of the believers in the Range story. ie At our expense.....Doh!
b) BASHERS ALWAYS BRING UP OLD NEWS THAT YOU HAVE HEARD MANY TIMES.New startup companies always have a few bits of bad news. The Basher will post this over and over again.
c) BASHERS POST MANY TIMES A DAY. They try to wear you out. They comment on everything on every post, and have an answer for every question.
d) THEY KNOW IT ALL! e) BASHERS WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE. Never trust a basher or give them the time of day, by responding to anything they say.
f) BASHERS WILL PLANT SEEDS OF DOUBT and hope that you are not savvy enough to research the truth on your own.
This is your investment……research it, work for it, protect it and don't panic on the words of a very shadowy figure that supposedly "has your best interests at heart". Yeah, AS if!!!
g) BASHERS WILL MAKE STATEMENTS THAT CAN'T BE VERIFIED That's why they make the vague statements they do. They rely on you being to lazy to do your own research, knowing that you probably won’t.
h) BASHERS OFTEN WORK IN TOGETHER and often validate and back up each others nonsense. We are all conditioned to "believe" everything we see in writing. If others by virtue of their "posts" also confirm this belief, then we are subconsciously doomed to follow suite. Down rampers rely on this.
i) BASHERS PREY ON YOUR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE They can lie about information and you won't know the difference (unless you have done your own DD on the company and know the truth and facts).
j) A BASHER CAN GET YOU TO GIVE UP YOUR STOCK BECAUSE YOU ARE TIRED OF WAITING FOR YOUR GAIN That's when the Basher is best. You are tired. You have forgotten the original goal for the stock was to hold it for say one year. The Basher is bothersome, and the news on a particular day is bad, so you dump your stock. Some others also dump. Then you get mad for your loss and return to let everyone know how mad you are. Then you turn into a semi-Basher as well. THE BASHER HAS WON, AND GAINED A NEW ALLY - YOU!
Holders actually donated stock last week where there was capitulation after excessive negativity based on an inaccurate internet report.
j) THE BASHER’S JOB IS TO BRING THE PRICE DOWN The truth is not important. Lies are the norm. They will post continuously on the board every day. They aim to scare the newbies that are just beginning to investigate a stock. They are trying to wear down the faithful longs on the board and gain free reign and control.
WHERE TO FROM HERE After satisfying yourself that you are dealing with a professional DOWN RAMPER, do the following:
1. Put them on IGNORE immediately your suspicions are confirmed. 2. Never RESPOND to them 3. Do your own RESEARCH 4. Post POSITIVELY and constructively on your stock 5. ALERT others as to what is going on when bashing occurs
And always remember: DOWN RAMPERS never bother posting on BAD STOCKS, so have faith in your RESEARCH. Regard the down ramping as a good sign, which it is.
I hope the above info helps genuine posters to better understand what ‘WE’ have all allowed to undermine what has been and still is a very promising story with Range Resources. Do you feel cheated?
Well the good news is that it is still not too late to do something about it. Just re-read the last section of advice and ACT ON STEPS 1 to 5.
