Hi Sydneyguy and all,

Just because you and I and a few other fortunate people aren’t for the moment feeling the effects of the current great depression doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

If you are feeling wealthy because your property and shares are looking OK and you are enjoying the good life and don’t feel it’s all being held together by smoke and mirrors then I say good luck to you.

On the other hand think of those without jobs and their head in their hands worrying about their next meal. The 47 Million of food stamps in the USA, the unemployed there and here in Australia because for them the recession / depression is indeed very real.

Also be aware that both you and I may be getting our own wake-up call any day now from one Mr Joe Hockey and crew!
