where is the value

Maybe I have missed something, but why the hype on this exploration company. There are so many of those. There is plenty of acreage to go around in central Australia to make what ever claims one wants to make. There are lots of other places to explore as well.

It is hard to see the comparison between SXP and MPO. MPO's Chinese resource is likely to be developed sooner rather than later. SXP has large coal deposits of what quality. Why was this area not developed in the past? China has plenty of steaming coal, but needs higher grade coal for steel making.

May be there is oil/gas there, but who knows. There are lots of possible oil/gas sites in Australia.

Is there something special about SXP's management?

Buying SXP shares is the same as taking up options on the possible future of the tenements. Its pure speculation. When would UCG be needed in SA? Do they lack for nautural gas? When will CTL be needed in Australia (15 -20 years?)

I hope SXP does become a success, but unless they find oil/gas its not likely to be near term.
