"flat tax?" Is that your understanding of "vision?" Flat tax is the complete opposite. It's a simplistic, cowardly exercise which avoids targeting industries that need help or salaries that need culling. It's oppressive and insensitive. It's using one, very heavy sledgehammer for all types, shapes and sizes of nuts. ...and, more importantly, if big business thought it'd do them any good, it would have been introduced within the blink of an eyelid, no matter who's on top. But it's no good for anyone.
