Some general info re CTX's operations:



Refining:

CTX is involved in the purchase of crude oil, transportation to refineries, refining into petroleum products, and the distribution of those products
to a network of terminals around Australia. It owns and operates the Kurnell refinery in Botany Bay and the Lytton refinery, south of Brisbane. These
combined have a capacity of more than 35m litres per day making CTX the largest refiner of crude oil in Australia.


Terminals:

The company owns and operates 11 seaboard storage terminals and has three JV lubricant blending plants. JV fuel distribution arrangements
are in place with Shell at Townsville (QLD) and Fremantle (WA) and Mobil at Gladstone (QLD) and Silverwater (NSW). A reciprocal agreements for fuel
supply exists in TAS at the Caltex terminal in Hobart and the Shell terminal in Devonport.


Pipeline:

CTX owns and operates the longest multi-pipeline in Australian which carries a range of fuel products including petrol, diesel and jet fuel. It
stretches from Kurnell to Wickham and displaces the need for road tankers and tankship movements throughout the year.


Transport:

Caltex operates its own fleet of road tankers and has long term contracts with transport companies for the cartage of refined products from
terminals to service stations, distribution depots and commercial end users. They also have a fleet of dedicated rail tank cars.


Marketing:

Petroleum products are marketed across Australia through three principal channels of distributions: retail, wholesale and commercial. CTX's
national service station network includes the largest number of convenience stores in Australia. In addition, they market to commercial and industrial
customers in the mining, industrial, aviation and transport sectors and manufacture specialty products suck as bitumen, gases and waxes. The company
has an estimated market share of more than 30% of the major transport fuels sold nationally.
