I think that there is this sort of collusion going on whereby punters attack a company en masse, and as @mixie stated, you could potentially make a few bucks if you can detect these patterns and play along.
I'm a bit old school and I know this is going on across the board, it's not just ENV by any means, but my opinion is that if the company "has the goods", the SP will find the right level long term and that's what I'm counting on here.
