You are right, the common perception of Dilution is a smaller piece of the pie, watered-down holding, but expenses are also a form of dilution.
The easy way to understand it is , if you have an expense it is money you don't get, the value of each of your shares is diminished, diluted.
Eg, you have a $1000 expense across 500m shares and you hardly notice the dilution, the effect on the value of your shares.
You have a $100m expense suddenly it's obvious the value of each of your shares is decreased, your share value is diluted.
The dilution just comes from the other side, but it is still there, instead of the share being diluted the value of the share is diluted, and the end result is exactly the same.

Anyway, I only mentioned that all roads lead to dilution to try and help people relax, the Board will choose the most beneficial pathway they see fit, they are the ones with all the knowledge and experience and facts.
