"They could acquire all of ANP today for less." I doubt that they could. Our register is very tightly held. Any significant buying pressure from an attempted hostile takeover would drive up our share price by many multiples very quickly. Something like 45% of shares are held by 40 holders.
In the event of a non-hostile takeover, I'm not sure that shareholders would agree to sell for $500 million. That's only a 3x from here.
But regardless, we probably aren't getting $500 million, unfortunately, but a lower 9-figure sum would not surprise me at all.
