a bit of perspective on this matter.
the bank's sp is weak because of the funding issues with RAMS and concerns about US subprime mortgages.
Like all the greedy fund managers, these guys want more money i.e. more equity in the business.If the bank can't afford ,why keep them. Nobody is irreplaceable. Remember Chris Cuffe who was considered a great fund manager - when he walked out, the business carries on.
I am sure that the fund managers who left established companies to establish their own boutique businesses must have the time of their lives with all this volatility - the grass is definitely greener.Who Knows maybe some of them will be queueing at CentreLink.
