Hi Pecora. The trouble with libs is they look old, act old and are old. In order for a party to atract young members it has to have some exiting ideas, something that you can dream about and rave about. Like changing the world, real justice things like that. Liberals do have some interesting ideas in their platform, like giving opporunity, belief in individual achievement, indeed world liberal was synonymous with freedom and democracy. Lberal used to be anonym to conservative.
Somehow the Libs under Howard became more conservative than Tories in England. They totaly lost they way nad somehow thought that they can buy the right to govern with tax cuts.
There is old saying that you are judged by company you keep. Well Howard's mate George Bush is a liability that ruined political carier of Tony Blair and did the same for Johny.
What the Libs did in our name was bordering on criminal and blackened the good name of Australia in the world.
If they want to be a political force again, they need to become positive and tell the young people why it is great to be a liberal.
