Couldnt agree more on that. I could never fathom this myself. Shorts was lingering around 5 mil before the whole philip cooke debacle. And since then the shorts have increased dramatically? Webjet as a company had not changed and the impact from the bankruptcy of Philip cooke didn't end up having that much impact on webjet bottom line either. But if the above article from AFR is true and perhaps fundies had their eye on WEB then shorting it to keep prices down is definitely in their interest to do so... it'll be interesting to see how web performs today on the back of this rumour??
