Hawley, the announcement is clear on what choices AAE is offering to shareholders, approve the sale USCB or AAE goes belly-up.
The announcement mentions the Beatrice plant needs significant cash injection.
The share price is too low to recapitalise AAE without a huge erosion in value for existing shareholders.
So what are the alternatives to selling USCB or liquidating AAE? Sell everything but USCB and plough every spare cent into a biodiesel plant that will bleed money with current feedstock prices? That would just delay the inevitable and will erode what value is left in AAE.
