I should clarify that in this context a bund/seawall are the same thing.
In the broader scale of things - given the depth of the water - I wouldnt expect the cost of a bund/seawall to be excessive, but it depends what design criteria you use. I reall dont know the area that well - if you had to design for large cyclonic conditions (which wouldnt appear unreasonable in the NT!) then something resembling the great wall of China may be required!!
All things that the company will consider in due course... On that note, there´s no doubt that dredging has a bit of a publicity problem at the moment so the final solution will undoubtedly be a combination of the lowest cost and the path of least resistance wrt approvals etc
(PS - In my experience floating silt curtains etc are close to a waste of time, partcularly over large areas, areas with any currents, anything with seastate - basically anything other than a backyard swimming pool! )
