There is some interesting perspective (tending to become more prevalent) on the net about the cause of the fall in Gold price Friday week ago. The arguements go that the reason for the fall in the paper market was that participants in that market had decided for what ever reason to leave. Ok so what? Well it is suggested that the participants have left because they no longer trust the storage system. They have taken their physical and left. Leaving fewer participants and an associated paper price fall.
