Heres what I'm hearing:

Areva LOVED the asset but felt that there are significant political hurdles in the region right now. In particular, they are already in trouble with the Finnish government over environmental issues and do not want to have similar porblems with another Scandie nation.

The process now will be to speak to other majors (Cameco, Uranium one, BHP etc) to try and rework a new deal. The reason that the company chose Areva in the first place was because their offer was significantly better than the existing offers. They were offering cash payment up front and a large carrying percentage of the project which would have valued AEE shares at well over 25c. Unfortunately it did not progress to signing, however I am confident that over the next 6 months we will see a marked increase in the share price as other majors come to the table.

Aura WILL partner with someone in the coming year, it's just a matter of how good a deal they can get and how much value they can achieve for shareholders.
