It is a good point greystone. I don't know if its a Hot Copper thing and the nature of folks who contribute to forums such as these but am surprised at the amount of posters who have all their eggs in one basket. In some cases a lot of eggs. There is a guy on the AVB thread who is on record as to having three quarters of a million bucks invested in a spec stock!! He has held that for almost 5 years only to watch the price fall...let alone calculate the opportunity cost. Why not spread it around a bit? Different sectors? Is it greed? Sure if it 'comes off' you make a motsa,, but how often does a penny dreadful do that?
A little diversification is a very good thing indeed.
