Yes, nailed it industry inertia is real and profound. It's because cosy deals are done which are just fine the way things are.
Their paramount interests aren't with the patient in getting highly accurate test results. It's much more venal than that.
By analogy, highly efficient lightbulbs existed long before any of the current versions became available. Why is that?
The weakness within ADO is enthusiasm for the science, and failure to take account of these realities, even when faced with them time and time again. Blind spots in the risk management strategy.

It's testament to the fact that we DO indeed have game changing technology that there is market enthusiasm for (particularly in the battery sector), AND hard work by some in the organisation that means we are still here. Plus some putting their hands in their pockets, no doubt. The latter wouldn't have worked without the former though and we need to keep that in mind.
