I personally think it's a pretty smart way to build a business as a start up, otherwise how else can you build up the momentum. All these content doesn't worth much when there's no platform, but once a proper platform is built, it has more potential Uber was giving away money initially to get momentum, but you can't but into it and scrutinize it because it wasn't listed
