The volatility has been disconcerting, but the thematic drivers are still there with Praemium, along with a strong track record. The company has been increasing its market share (13% last quarter) with respect to inflows, and a ‘new generation’ solution should bolster the ability to capture more of a growing addressable market and secular shift to independent platforms.
The managed accounts market alone is expected to double to over $60 billion in the next two years. At 3.5 times revenues the bar for investor expectation has been set way too low with respect to PPS which also has an offshore growth angle in the UK.
