No, the ADE provides a software simulation of Akida - to help develop different use-cases for the ASIC. They also provide a development dongle which can be used to interface the actual chip when it becomes available. Developers will use the dongle with the chip to embed the chip into different devices and test the interfaces to the chip and test the chips behaviour within the device ..and any software required to complete the interface.
